Description
The Huawei SMU01C is a site monitoring unit (SMU) designed for Huawei’s embedded DC power systems, such as the ETP4830-A1 and ETP4890-A2. It provides monitoring, alarm, and control functions for the power system and its operating environment
Key Features
Application: Site monitoring unit for embedded power systems, including the Huawei ETP series.
Function: Manages rectifiers and batteries and monitors environmental conditions through connected sensors.
User interface: Features an LCD screen and buttons for man-machine interaction and displaying data.
Swappable: The unit is hot-swappable, allowing it to be replaced without shutting down the system.
Interfaces
Digital inputs: 2 digital inputs.
Alarm outputs: 4 dry contact outputs.
Communication ports: RS485/RS232 with data rates of 9600 bits/s or 19,200 bits/s.
Sensor ports: Interfaces for detecting battery and ambient temperatures
Key differences Between SMU01A, SMU01B and SMU01C
The SMU01C is part of a family of monitoring units, each with different communication capabilities.
SMU01A: Supports remote management via a web-based UI and SNMP protocol. It can connect to Huawei’s NetEco or third-party network management systems.
SMU01B: Supports Huawei’s master/slave protocols and connects to the U2000 network management system.
SMU01C: Supports a total protocol, enabling it to connect to the dynamic ring.
